Gunna and Shaboozey shared a stage at the 2026 VMAs for "High Noon". They didn't share a jewelry rulebook.
On September 27 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, the two turned up with completely different ideas of what a man's jewelry should do. One let a single diamond cross carry the whole look. The other ran silver through everything he wore. Both worked, and between them they've left a lot of people asking the same thing: which way would I go?

Gunna kept it clean. A tan suit, and one large diamond-encrusted cross chain worn as the centerpiece. No stack, no second pendant, nothing competing for attention.
That restraint is what makes it work. The suit is soft and neutral, so the cross does all the talking. When everything around a loud piece stays quiet, it reads as intentional rather than flashy.
Shaboozey went the other way. He wore Chrome Hearts: a black leather blazer and vest over a white shirt, a slime-green tie, cropped pants and pointed boots. Then came the silver. Silver jewelry, grills and an oversized belt buckle.
It leans Western, and plenty of outlets picked it as one of the standout menswear looks of the night. Where Gunna's look is built around one piece, Shaboozey's is built around one metal.
Same stage, two moods.
Neither is the right answer. It comes down to whether you want one piece to be the point, or the whole look to carry a theme.
The iced cross is the louder of the two looks, which is exactly why it needs the calmest styling.
Our ICED Cross is set with AAA-grade stones across the whole face, so it catches the light the same way. If you want the shine with a little more restraint, the ICED Cross 2.0 uses rows of set stones on a cleaner frame. Both come in gold and silver, and our guide to what a cross necklace means covers why so many men wear one.
You don't need the grills or the belt buckle to get the idea. The principle is simple: pick silver and let it run through the whole look.
A 4mm Cuban chain in silver is the easiest anchor. Add a ring or two from our men's silver rings, or the Royal Signet Ring if you want something with weight, and build from there.

Gunna wore a large diamond-encrusted cross chain, styled as the centerpiece of a tan suit. It was the only pendant he wore, which is why it carried the whole look.

Yes. Keep the suit neutral, make the cross the only pendant, and let it sit on the outside of the shirt. That's exactly the approach Gunna took at the VMAs.
Either works. Silver tends to suit darker clothes and cooler tones, while gold suits warmer tones and neutrals. What matters most is sticking to one metal across the look.
If one piece is more your speed, start with the cross. Our full cross collection covers plain and iced, in gold and silver. If you'd rather build a whole look, start with a silver chain and add as you go. The sterling silver collection is a good place to look around.
Two artists, one stage, two completely different rules. The only one that matters is the one that feels like yours.
